Recycling bins are located throughout the mall, recycle bin for eye glasses, recycle bin for cell phones and accessories for soldiers, all common area light fixtures were changed to energy efficient fluorescent lighting, an energy management system was installed which conserves energy by setting common area lighting on a programmable timer, 2 - 30 ton HVAC units were replaced with more energy efficient models and added to the energy management system, which allows the mall to maximize the use of outside air, lower costs and reduce the overall environmental impact. East Town Mall's contracted cleaning contractor uses all green products in their janitorial services at the mall.
